    My followers have been asking me how to properly format my Instagram profile. Did they ask? I'm answering.

    How to design an avatar

    Your avatar should be bright and stand out, and it can even be intriguing to motivate people to click on your profile from comments or search results.

    If you're creating an avatar for a personal blog or profile, consider a portrait on a contrasting background or a 3D portrait. Avatars featuring hand-drawn portraits have recently become fashionable.

    If you have a well-known brand, then of course, place your logo so that people know that they are going to the brand profile.

    If your brand is still relatively new, it's best to use your profile picture to showcase what your business does. For example, if you're a nail salon, you could depict a beautiful woman's hand with an exquisite manicure, etc.

    However, try to avoid platitudes to avoid looking like your competitors. Choose an image that will set you apart from the competition and be memorable for your followers.

    If you're a designer or artist, you need a creative profile picture. This way, users immediately understand that they'll find SOMETHING interesting in your profile.

    Choosing the right profile title is important, especially if you provide services or sell products on your public page.

If you're lucky and the competition for this keyword isn't too high, your public page may even show up in Yandex or Google searches for this keyword, not to mention Instagram searches. Furthermore, the service will also offer synonyms and other phrases (check the right column). This will help you more accurately choose a name for your public page. If you have a brick-and-mortar business, be sure to include your city.

    Choose a mid-frequency keyword; for example, the number of monthly searches for it should be between 1,000 and 10,000. These figures are approximate, as the frequency depends on your topic. In some narrow niches, 100 searches per month is considered mid-frequency.

    A query may be seasonal, meaning the number of queries may vary depending on the season. This can also be seen in wordsat.yandex.

    Profile Description

    In your profile description, you should describe in a few sentences how your followers will benefit from your profile and how you differ from your competitors. In other words, this is where you should write your USP (Unique Selling Proposition).

    Here you should also include a link to your website, video, and contact information. Unfortunately, you can only include one link in your profile. If you need to include multiple links, you can use services like Linktree or Taplink.

    If you have an offline business, it's helpful to include your address so customers can find you by your location.

    Methods of communication

    When working with clients on Instagram, I often notice a mistake. Companies include a link in their profile to their website's homepage. However, the website is often not mobile-friendly.

    Instagram is a social network for smartphone users—90% of visitors use it from a smartphone. After clicking a link in a profile to a website that isn't mobile-friendly, visitors often leave without completing the desired action. This is because it's inconvenient: reading small font, scrolling horizontally, etc. Often, users simply can't find the contact form.

    Don't forget that we often use smartphones while commuting or on the go. Therefore, if a user has to spend a long time searching for something, they might get distracted and not return. The chances of them saving your data to their favorites are slim.

    4 solutions

    1. Link to the feedback form. Be sure to check the feedback form on your smartphone to make sure it works.
    2. A WhatsApp link so that potential clients can send you a message.
    3. You can write to ask questions via direct messages; in this case, you can connect your CRM to your profile.
    4. If you have a small flow of clients, you can check your direct messages yourself.
