Many people who are starting to promote their Instagram profile ask the question: "What day and time should I publish a post to get the most reach and be seen by as many followers as possible?"
The best day
To understand which day your subscribers are most active, you need to:
- Go to your profile statistics.
- Go to the "Audience" tab.
- Scroll to the "Subscribers" section.
- Activate the "Days" tab.
In the tab, you'll see columns by day of the week, Monday through Sunday. The higher the column, the more reach you've achieved (see screenshot). To achieve this, you need to post at least once a day throughout the week.
Additionally, a bar with a more saturated coloring means that your followers actively interacted with your post that day, such as liking, commenting, bookmarking, etc.
The best time
You can also view the same data by hour. The histogram bars show you what time your followers log into Instagram and when they start engaging (liking, commenting).
Some people believe it's best to post videos in the late afternoon, as not everyone has the opportunity to watch videos with sound during the day. But it's best to check first. It all depends on your audience. Experiment, track your statistics, and draw your own conclusions.
